Traveling to Utrecht

Utrecht is located in the centre of the Netherlands.

You can reach Utrecht by air via the International Airport "Schiphol" near Amsterdam. Centrally located to the three terminals of Schiphol you will find a railway station. You can take the train to "Utrecht Centraal", the central station of Utrecht. A second class one way ticket costs 13,00 euro. The trip will take about 30 minutes. The hotels are situated nearby Utrecht Centraal. There is also the possibility to take a taxi.

Money exchange

The currency in The Netherlands is the Euro. There are ATMs throughout the city. Most restaurants and shops accept international credit cards, but please check for the credit card stickers as you enter the door before you enter. American Express, MasterCard and Visa credit cards are the most widely used. Currency exchange is possible at the airport and all banks.

Weather and time change

In September we can have seasonably warm days (18-20 degrees C), but also colder days with some showers are likely to occur.

Electricity suply

The voltage in the Netherlands is EU standard of 230 volts/50 hertz. Please make sure you have the proper adapters for your appliances.
